May 29, 2020 @ 10:00AM — 12:00PM
This training will take place on Friday May 29th and Friday June 5th from 10am-12 noon
Through interactive presentations, role play, and games, this training
includes disability history, cultural competency, ableism, communication
skills, and more. We aim to dissect the myths of disability and
independence, challenge unintentional assumptions and explore our own
experiences and views of disability. We hope to provoke deep
conversation and create space for personal reflection, thereby giving
participants the skills to better serve your communities. In the context of COVID 19 this is very important, considering the way ableism and agism are playing out in relationship to access to care and services.
For individuals and organizations.
Suggested $30 to pay for the training; sliding scale $0-100. Limit 40 people
